In what has been one of the more traumatic times for British industry, Sunsquare, whilst not fully operational until beginning of May, have been busy during downtime. Our desire to continue to be the market leading in our field didn’t get locked down. Quite the opposite. Not only have we been testing product and designing, we have been studying our business to ensure we can provide the very best products in the world in the most efficient way. As well as heading towards lean manufacture, we have an obligation to the BSI to prove that we are worthy of our accreditations at all times. Rather than nod politely, we decided that we would assist the BSI and take on a mammoth 2 day remote audit on our entire operation last week.
 

The BSI auditors with the use of some very clever technology, managed to see every aspect of our business, including all manufacturing methods and quality control as well as our desire to keep our two factories as carbon neutral as we possibly can. ISO 14001 calls for the desire to look at the environmental impact of everything we do from washing vehicles to how we dispose of waste. Never has there been a time in history where the impact of a global issue has demonstrated quite how damaging we are to the planet as a human race, so it is as important as ever to keep up the good work that we do in this area.
 
In a company first, the two day virtual audit awarded us, yet again ,with all three accreditations, but also with an entirely clean sheet when it comes to non-conformance. In times now where people will be feeling the pinch and also perhaps considering how they live, quality has never been so important. We are incredibly proud of our achievement in these testing times and just wanted to assure all of our clients both current and potential, that quality is something that we never stop thinking in any circumstances.
