GGF confirms
new President

In front of 100 guests including GGF Members, industry dignitaries and GGF Group employees, Mr Glover was unveiled by GGF Immediate Past Present, Brian Baker.

“I am pleased to accept the role of President of The Glass and Glazing Federation. It’s been an organisation that I have always fully supported since I joined as a Member over six years ago. It’s both an honour and privilege and I will be doing my best to help our Members over the next two years,” said Glover.

Nigel Rees, group chief executive, GGF, believes this latest appointment will continue to steer the organisation along the right path after a challenging period.

“We are delighted Andrew is now President and he follows in a long line of very committed and exemplary GGF Presidents.

“In the last two years, our immediate past President, Brian Baker helped steer the GGF through tough times and his input was considerable on many fronts.

“Andrew has a hard act to follow but I am more than confident he can help the GGF move forward.”

Glover stated his ambition to do everything he can to drive the GGF and the industry forward during his time at the helm.

“This has been a memorable occasion and I’d like to thank Members, GGF staff and the trade media for coming to the President’s Reception,” added Glover.

“I can assure everyone that being a hands-on person, I will be attending as many GGF meetings as I can across the UK to listen to Members’ views and concerns.

“As the GGF Group grows, I’ll also be looking for opportunities to increase and improve the benefits and services for our Members. I am looking forward to helping the GGF, its Members and the industry during my tenure as President.”
