Sing when you’re winning

On the outside, it looks like we have been busy and a productive part of the Rooflight industry in the United Kingdom, but what has actually been happening behind the scenes?

Well, we are pleased to report that we are bucking a great many trends at present. Despite market conditions not favouring the construction industry, and many companies in our industry retracting in size, Sunsquare actually grew 17% in the last year.

Our growth, we think, was mainly down to a marked rise in clients opting for quality over price. At Sunsquare, our desire for creating the very best quality products means that we are not the cheapest product in our market place. Certainly, if you were to take a look at a search engine when it comes to skylights, there are a few options, but there is no doubting that price seems to come before anything else for some.

Whilst we are aware of the competitive nature of ours and many industries, it is heartening to know that our continued growth is very much down to an individual’s decision to trust marks of quality and not sales patter.

The marks of quality are something that are not easy to achieve and, more importantly, very easy to lose. Our ISO9001, ISO14001 and Kitemark are audited very regularly and focus in on every single aspect of our business from design and manufacture to keeping it clean environmentally.

We are enormously proud to have been given the first completely clean bill of health in all three certifications without any “must do better” notes. Not only is this a first for Sunsquare, showing a continued effort to improve our company, but it is a first for the rooflight industry.

Combined with some exciting new developments to be announced shortly, it is promising to know that all of the effort that happens behind the scenes continues to pay off. We offer thanks to all of our colleagues and clients for their continued support.
