Thoughts on
Brexit

Many people are quoting doom and gloom regarding the construction industry, and it being a little “on pause” whilst the question of Brexit is sorted out. It is inevitable that uncertainty will effect large building projects as the money invested tends to be up front and, in many cases, attached to pension funds and the like. Obviously Sunsquare are not immune to industry trends, but it is comforting to see that the clients that have used our services over the recent turbulent months are citing quality and qualification as the reason for using the skylight budget with us.

Sunsquare have always lead the field when it comes to offering assurance to our clients, in good times, and bad. We have spent our entire 15 year history trying to bring some standards into our industry and fought hard to be awarded the first Kitemark for Skylights in an unregulated industry. It is becoming apparent that in these particularly choppy waters, history, genuine qualification and quality are a priority on those who are braving the storm in the construction industry.

Sunsquare have seen turmoil in the construction industry in our 15 years, and this is a difficult situation to negotiate, but, whilst it has been harder work, the effect on our business is minimal and certainly has given us comfort that people, in the main, value quality over cost.

We have been working on some of the most prestigious projects in the roof glazing industry and have some extremely exciting and world class projects in 2020. There may be a cloud or two in the construction industry sky, but we are confident that those clouds will move and the “Skyview” will be glorious again very soon.
