    Aeropitch provides all-weather ventilation for this lovely Victorian in Teddington

    Mr & Mrs Patel own a traditional Victorian House in Teddington. The rear extension of the home was recently renovated, which saw the kitchen move to a different side of the house and a newly fashioned family area in its place. Both areas were in much need of light and ventilation. 

    New addition to Kingston College

    ITC Concepts Ltd approached us for an exciting development at Kingston College, West London. The brief was to install a hexagonal skylight to sit on top of the structure, with louvres placed all around.

    Flying success at Gatwick Hotel

    Sunsquare was contacted by the owner of a Holiday Inn hotel at Gatwick Airport during lockdown. The hotel was being used to house quarantined travellers at the time when the building works had begun, so it was a very tricky site to work on at the time.

    We recently worked on an exciting bespoke project for a new client living in a private London residence. Our client was looking for a solution that offered easy access to their roof garden and invited more light and ventilation into the room below.

    A light and bright solution

    Sunsquare were approached during the first lockdown with a very testing project. Our clients had started their conversion of a back room to form part of a kitchen extension as well as a roof terrace from their bedroom to overlook some beautiful English countryside.

    Tricky Spot

    Whether it’s large expansive areas of heavy glass or small spaces that could be transformed with natural light, here at Sunsquare we like to rise to a challenge no matter how tricky the design is. Not only were we up against an unusual design for this particular installation, but we also had to work very carefully due to the tight space.

    How a replacement can make such a difference!

    We were asked recently to quote for a replacement skylight on a flat roof in a delightful town house in Suffolk.

    Sunsquare are often presented with difficult site conditions in which to install our award winning skylights. We are possibly the only skylight company that does not subcontract any of our work at all. If you purchase a Kitemarked Sunsquare product, you would only ever have our employees installing the skylight if that was your chosen option.

    An acutating skylight in a tight space

    It is quite often the case that Sunsquare have to work with existing openings or replace existing failing skylights.

    Look up when you swim!

    Sunsquare were awarded a contract to design and install a 40 pane skylight to a residence in Lincolnshire over a swimming pool. Each pane of glass was around 800mm x 4000mm and had low maintenance glass and solar neutral glass specified.

    A large walk-on rooflight in Kidbrooke Village

    Sunsquare was recently asked to complete this stunning 10mx5.5m walk-on rooflight over a public area in Kidbrooke Village. Each pane was over 450kg and we have some spectacular shots of the whole process that we cannot wait to share with you, including our team using specialist lifting equipment to position the glass in place.

    A New Build Home in the Heart of The Cotswolds

    We were delighted to work on a modern new-build property in the Cotswolds which is designed around a rotunda. The property features a circular skylight over the family room and will have a large chandelier to draw the eye upwards to the skylight above.

    A light solution for planning permissions

    London is not the only place in the country where planning permission and restrictions are an issue. In the heart of Suffolk is a sleepy, but beautiful, town called Lavenham. Parts of the town date back to 1086 and as such there is a huge amount of history and some absolutely stunning architecture on display – it’s named the best preserved Medieval town in England and there are no less than 340 listed buildings.

    Converting a 90s UPVC atrium into a modern kitchen and roof terrace

    A new client in Suffolk was undergoing a complete house renovation, and needed a solution to replace an existing 90s UPVC atrium. The existing brown UPVC atrium at the rear of the kitchen gave the kitchen some natural light, but blocked the views and made the roof terrace small and unusable.

    Sourcing suppliers for a vast remodelling project, Scott and Kate Byles visited our stand at the Grand Designs show back in 2015. Their vision for their Victorian semi-detached house in Loughton, Essex consisted of a large single storey extension at the rear of the property, as well as additional first and second floor extensions.
