An acutating skylight in a tight space

On this particular project, the client had a couple of small skylights (by others) that were installed not so long ago but had failed. We assisted the client in making use of their roof as a useable space by designing a nearly 4 metre by 1 metre two paned access skylight. The client came to us via their architect as it was felt that we were likely to be the only company to be able to design and manufacture something of the size required to allow the stairway and headroom needed to access the roof garden. Our actuators are the strongest in our industry and, as such, what was thought impossible by most, is very possible for us. The result is that the clients now have utilised more space in their London mews property and have more light and ventilation when required as a bonus.
