Skylight installation project at Chestnut Lodge

Sunsquare’s bespoke SkyView skylight created a bright contemporary finish at the beautiful seven bedroomed Chestnut Lodge.

Having seen the company’s vast selection of skylights at Grand Designs Live in London, the owner of Chestnut Lodge, nestled in the Hertfordshire countryside, chose Sunsquare to provide a bespoke SkyView skylight.

The skylight was required to provide a light, spacious finish in the extended open plan living space at the rear of the property.

With concern of over-heating the living space and maintaining the pristine condition of the glass itself, Sunsquare provided solar control glass together with an application of a specialist protective coating, Clearshield.

Using an internal opening of 1200 x 2500mm, Sunsquare manufactured a large SkyView skylight in a single pane, which the client’s builder chose to install. This was achieved easily with an Early Delivery Upstand. The décor stop also allowed the plasterboard to be fitted straight into the frame with no frame showing – a feature unique to Sunsquare.
